NASCAR veteran Ross Chastain plans to run both the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race and the Cup Series race at the Iowa Speedway in August. Chastain has run both races at the Iowa Speedway the past two years. He finished third in the Hy-Vee Perks 250 last year and was ninth in 2024. He finished 11th in the Iowa Corn 350 twice.
Chastain says the racing surface at the Iowa Speedway continues to change following a repave of the corners prior to the 2024 race.
Chastain says one of the reasons the track changes so much is the change of seasons it must endure.
Chastain looks forward to the Cup Series return for a third year.
This year’s Iowa Corn 350 is August ninth.
