The competition to become Iowa’s starting quarterback continues as the Hawkeyes enter the final week of spring drills. Auburn transfer and junior Hank Brown appeared in three games last season while sophomore Jeremy Hecklinski played in two games last season and finished as the backup to Mark Gronowski. He began his college career at Wake Forest.
Hecklinski feels much more comfortable with the offense this spring.
Known for his ability to make big plays, Hecklinski is trying to eliminate the bad plays.
Brown took most of the first team reps last spring while Gronowski was recovering from surgery on his shoulder.
