Jackson an Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Honorable Mention

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State wide receiver Cody Jackson was named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award’s honorable mention list on Tuesday after his break-out performance against West Virginia last weekend.

Jackson had his best game as a Cyclone, finishing with six receptions for a career-high 160 yards and a touchdown. His touchdown reception came on a 46-yard double pass from running back Aiden Flora.

The Richmond, Texas native entered the game with only four receptions for 31 yards on the season. His 160-yard day marked the first 100-yard receiving effort by an ISU player this season and were the most by a Cyclone since 2024 (Jaylin Noel).

Jackson’s 160 receiving yards were the fifth-most by a Big 12 player this season and the fourth-most by an FBS player this week.

The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award is presented annually to the top offensive player in Division I who either graduated from a Texas high school or plays for a Texas-based college.

The Cyclones are back in action Friday at BYU. Kickoff is set for 9:15 p.m. (CT) on ESPN.
