Five events will represent the CAM Cougars Boys Track and Field team this season at State. Jace Hardisty is the sole individual event for CAM this season, qualifying in the discus throw as just a freshman. The 4×100, 4×200, 800 Sprint Medley and Distance Medley are the four relays. It took time for the relays to hit their stride, but Head Coach Drew Ticknor is happy with the end result.
The boys’ team across the board has a lot of guys that lead by example, especially in the relay groups. Coach Ticknor credits a lot of their success to their great attitude.
Jace Hardisty enters the state meet as the only freshman discus thrower in the field. Jace’s talent has been noticed by the CAM coaching staff for quite some time:
Jace certainly set his standard higher than most freshman would and it paid off. He was hitting state qualifying marks early in the season:
The State Track and Field Meet begins on Thursday, May 21st at the Drake Stadium Track.
