Iowa’s Ty’Reek Coleman on summer basketball workouts

Iowa guard Ty’Reek Coleman says the transition from the Missouri Valley Conference to the Big Ten has been fun and challenging. Coleman transferred to Iowa after a freshman season at Illinois State in which he averaged 10 points per game and shot better than 41 percent from three point range.

Coleman hopes to help the Hawkeyes overcome the loss of All Big Ten point guard Bennett Stirtz.

Coleman says his freshman season was a learning experience.

Coleman says he decided on the Hawkeyes after a film session with coach Ben McCollum.
