Iowa running back L.J. Phillips will get hs first taste of the Battle for Floyd of Rosedale on Saturday when the 15th ranked Hawkeyes visit Minnesota. Phillips is a transfer from South Dakota and has battled an ankle injury during the first half of the season.
Phillips says the trophy resides in the Iowa weight room.
Hawkeye linebacker Cam Buffington credits head coach Kirk Ferentz for the way they approach this rivalry.
Buffington says a consistent approach is needed and points to last week when five of the top seven teams in the AP Poll lost.
