Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz says the Hawkeyes had no trouble moving on after a thrilling 20-19 win at Michigan. The 14th ranked Hawkeyes take a 4-0 record into Saturday’s game at home against fifth ranked Ohio State.
Ferentz says not only do the Buckeyes rarely lose, they seldom are involved in a close game.
The Iowa defense has a huge challenge against Ohio State star receiver Jeremiah Smith. The Heisman Trophy candidate is averaging 154 receiving yards per game and already has seven touchdown receptions.
A better run game would help Iowa’s cause this week. In close wins over Michigan and Iowa State the Hawkeyes averaged less than 76 yards on the ground.
The Hawkeyes broadcast will begin at 12:30pm on Saturday on KJAN and the Hawkeye Network.
