Iowa women’s basketball guard Amari Whiting on joining a new roster

Iowa women’s basketball player Amari Whiting feels she has adapted quickly to the Hawkeye program. The senior guard started all 34 games at Oklahoma State last season and averaged just over nine and-a-half points per game. Iowa is the third stop in her college career that began at BYU.

Whiting is one of six new players joining a Hawkeye roster that returns five players from a team that finished 27-7.

Whiting says she will assume any role that is needed.

Whiting says one of the things that attracted her to Iowa was Jan Jensen’s style of play.

The Hawkeyes are in the midst of summer workouts.
