Iowa women’s basketball coach Jan Jensen says the Hawkeyes are adapting to a new guard heavy offense as summer drills head into their final stretch. The Hawkeyes are coming off a 27-7 season that ended in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Jensen feels the four out/one in offense is a better fit for this roster.
With six new players on the roster the new offense has been an adjustment.
Georgia transfer Dani Carnegie says the offense is a good fit for her. The All SEC guard averaged nearly 18 points per game last season.
Carnegie says the offense will help open up junior All Big Ten center Ava Heiden (hi-den).
Six-two freshman and five star recruit McKenna Woliczko (voh-liks’-koh) feels she is adjusting to the offense.
Woliczko says the biggest adjustment to college basketball is the speed of the game.
