Iowa enters a bye week ranked 17th in the AP Top 25 after a 41-24 win at Washington. Jeremy Hecklinski made his first start at quarterback for the injured Hank Brown and connected on 14 of 19 passes for 202 yards and three touchdowns as the Hawkeyes improved to 5-1.
That’s Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz, who has some time to assess the quarterback situation before an October 24th game at Minnesota.
Kamari Moulton rushed for a career high 208 yards as the Hawkeyes rolled up 263 yards on the ground.
