Iowa tight end Addison Ostrenga (oh-strain-guh) is even more motivated to start preseason camp next week. The native of Wisconsin returns for his final season after suffering an Achilles injury in a week two loss at Iowa State a year ago. Fall camp begins for the Hawkeyes next Wednesday.
Who will be throwing passes to Ostrenga is yet to be determined. Hank Brown and Jeremy Hecklinski are vying for the job as starting quarterback.
With a lot of holes to fill on both sides of the ball summer workouts have been even more important in getting ready for the new season.
Ostrenga was one of three players selected to represent the Hawkeyes at Big Ten Media Days in Chicago.
Iowa opens the season at home on September fifth against Northern Illinois.
