Iowa State’s T.J. Otzelberger and Iowa’s Ben McCollum say they are happy with non-conference schedules they have put together. The Cyclones will open at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls against Memphis, host Purdue and visit Iowa.
Otzelberger says the schedule is designed to give the Cyclones the best chance to make it into the NCAA Tournament.
It will mark the second straight season that ISU has played a game in Sioux Falls.
The Hawkeyes will play Creighton and Alabama in Des Moines and take on Virginia Tech in Sioux City. McCollum feels it is a way to promote the program.
Home attendance was up more than 20 percent last season but Iowa still averaged just under 11-thousand, 300 fans per home game.
