Iowa State coach Jimmy Rogers wants a good week of practice and a spirited effort on Saturday when the Cyclones close nonconference play by hosting Bowling Green. The Falcons are 0-2 after a 56-7 loss at Nebraska.
The defense has shined in the first two weeks but Rogers says more improvement is needed.
Rogers says in a game like Saturday’s the margin for error is small.
Rogers does not care if the Cyclones are heavily favored in this game.
Rogers says receiver Evan Boyd will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury he suffered in the loss at Iowa.
