Iowa State WR Evan Boyd talks team chemistry

If team chemistry matters, Iowa State receiver Evan Boyd says the Cyclones are headed toward a successful season. After stops at Michigan State and Central Michigan, Boyd transferred to Iowa State and is one of more than 80 new players who joined the program after Jimmy Rogers was named head coach.

Boyd says becoming connected was one of the first goals of the new coaching staff.

With four of the first five games at home the Cyclones have an opportunity for a fast start.

The Cyclones open September fifth at home against Southeast Missouri.
