Iowa State Unveils 2026 Schedule

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State soccer coach Matt Fannon announced the team’s complete 2026 schedule Monday morning. Fannon, in his seventh season at Iowa State, will see his team host 11 home contests as part of the 19-game regular season slate.

The Cyclones will open the 2026 campaign with a home exhibition against Minnesota (Aug. 5), before kicking off the regular season with a road trip to Omaha (Aug. 12). Iowa State is unbeaten in its last three season-openers.

Following its trip west, the Cyclones will spend five of their next six games at home, with the lone road trip being at Drake (Aug. 20). During a busy home slate, ISU will face Kansas City (Aug. 16), Creighton (Aug. 23), Iowa (Aug. 27), UNI (Aug. 30) and Missouri State (Sept. 3).

Big 12 action starts on September 17 when the Cyclones welcome the Colorado Buffaloes to Ames. ISU closes September with a pair of conference matches, the first in Houston (Sept. 24) and the second at home against West Virginia (Sept. 27).

The Cyclones open October with a second-straight home match against Utah (Oct. 1) before hitting the road for three consecutive contests away from the CSC. ISU will make an Arizona swing, facing both the Sun Devils (Oct. 8) and the Wildcats (Oct. 11) before heading to Lawrence to take on the Jayhawks (Oct. 16).

After facing KU and closing a three-game road trip, the Cyclones will return to Ames to face the other Sunflower State school in K-State (Oct. 22) to start a three-game homestand. BYU (Oct. 26) and Oklahoma State (Oct. 29) close out the season at the CSC and the month of October.

ISU’s regular season finale will come in Orlando, when the Cyclones head to the Sunshine State to take on the UCF Knights on November 5.

The Big 12 Soccer Championship is set to begin on Monday, Nov. 9, and will end on Saturday, Nov. 14. The tournament site will be announced at a later date.

ISU will not match up with conference opponents Baylor, Cincinnati, TCU or Texas Tech.
