Iowa State sticks with Jaylon Raynor at QB

Iowa State coach Jimmy Rogers is sticking with starting quarterback Jaylen Raynor as the Cyclones get ready to host 24th ranked Oklahoma State. Raynor completed eight of 10 passes for 106 yards and had a fumble in the opening half of a 39-3 loss at Arizona. He was replaced in the second half by sophomore Connor Moberly.

While happy with the way Moberly played, Rogers says his inexperience showed.

Rogers says Raynor’s experience is a big reason they are sticking with him.

Iowa State is 3-4 overall and 1-3 in the Big 12.

Toughness is a big part of the program and Rogers says now is when the Cyclones need to show it.
