Iowa State has enjoyed a lot of success at the running back position and that could continue under new coach Jimmy Rodgers. Redshirt sophomore Aidan Flora is looking to step in at running back after earning second team All Big 12 honors last season as a return specialist. He is one of the most experienced players who stayed on with the new coaching staff after Matt Campbell left for Penn State.
Flora says the running back room has talent and depth.
Flora says while there are some differences with the new offense being installed the primary focus remains the ground game.
Flora was a standout quarterback at ADM (Adel) but feels he has completed the transition to running back at ISU.
Rogers says running back has been the strongest position group on offense during spring drills.
Rogers feels there is a lot of potential at running back.
