Iowa State offensive lineman Austin Barrett did not enter the transfer portal after former coach Matt Campbell left for Penn State and says it was the best decision he ever made. The redshirt junior transferred to Iowa State after starting his career at Indiana and appeared in 10 games last season as a reserve.
Barrett hopes to become a starter for the first time in his college career.
Barrett says the new coaching staff led by head coach Jimmy Rodgers made no promises but offered him an opportunity.
Spring drills at ISU run through April 25th.
