Iowa State offensive lineman Austin Barrett says the West Virginia defense will show the Cyclones a variety of looks. After opening Big 12 play with a loss to 15th ranked Utah, ISU looks to bounce back at home on Saturday againsat the Mountaineers.
Barrett feels the offensive line has made good progress through four games.
The Cyclone offensive line has been ranked as one of the nation’s best in terms of pass protection. Barrett credits the work of offensive line coach Jake Thorton.
Sophomore receiver Dominic Overby says the receivers are focused on improving their run blocking.
Overby says they will need a good week of practice to get ready for the West Virginia defense.
