Iowa State MBB Media Day

Iowa State basketball coach T.J. Otzelberger says Tamin Lipsey is practicing with the team as he awaits a final decision on his eligibility. Lipsey is part of a lawsuit that was granted a preliminary injunction by an Indiana judge, providing him an added season. Lipsey is a four year starter at guard for the Cyclones.

Otzelberger says they are hopeful Lipsey will get to take part.

Lipsey was not taken in the NBA Draft and played briefly with the Indiana Pacer’s Summer League team before getting injured.

Leading score Milan Momcilovic and All-American forward Joshua Jefferson are gone from last year’s team that finished 29-8.

The focus will remain on a defensive style of play that has led ISU to the Sweet Sixteen three times in the last five years.

The Cyclones open the regular season on November second against Memphis in Sioux Falls.
