Iowa State LB Malcom Jones on the potential of the defense

Iowa State linebacker Malcom Jones believes the Cyclones will be the best defense in the country. Jones transferred to ISU from Jacksonville State and is one of more than 80 new players on the roster.

Jones is playing a hybrid linebacker/safety position that will be involved in the pass and run game.

Jones says he joined Iowa State because of the success of head coach Jimmy Rogers.

Jones says fall camp was physical and it started with the defensive line.

The Cyclones open the season at home on September fifth against Southeast Missouri.
