The Iowa State defense is preparing to go up against All Big 12 quarterback Noah Fifita (fuh-fee-tuh) as they get ready to visit 25th ranked Arizona. Fifita has passed for 16 touchdowns and only four interceptions in the Wildcats 5-1 start to the season.
That’s ISU linebacker Carson Willich (will-ik). A year ago, The Cyclones picked off Fifita twice in a 39-14 victory over Arizona in Ames.
Willich says Arizona does a better job this season of creating big plays.
Willich says during the bye week the defense worked on improving communication.
Iowa State is 3-3.
