Iowa State guard Jaquan Johnson adapts to his new team

Iowa State basketball coach T.J. Otzelberger says Bradley transfer Jaquan (JAY-kwan) Johnson has lived up to his nickname of “Bully” during summer workouts. Johnson is coming off a season in which he led Bradley in scoring at nearly 17 points per game and was named the Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year.

Otzelberger says Johnson brings a physical style of play at both ends of the court.

Otzelberger says Johnson brings depth and additional ball handling to the guard court.

Johnson says his physical style of play developed during his freshman season at Bradley.

Johnson says he is working this summer on playing without the ball.

Johnson feels the ISU program is a good fit for him.
