Iowa getting new basketball court for Carver-Hawkeye Arena

(Radio Iowa) – The University of Iowa is changing the basketball court at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The U-I has purchased the court used for the N-C-A-A Houston Regional where the Hawkeyes played in their first Elite Eight in 39 years. It will replace the court that has been used since 2016.

The new court will have a single surface look, replacing the parquet layout that’s been used for Iowa basketball since the arena opened in 1983.

The University says they plan to turn the current court into memorabilia for Hawkeye fans.
