Iowa drops to 20th in AP Poll after loss to Ohio State

The Iowa Hawkeyes have dropped to 20th in the latest AP Top 25 as they get ready for Friday night’s game at Washington. Early mistakes were costly as the Haswkeyes suffered their first loss of the season, 31-14 to Ohio State. A struggling offense left the Hawkeyes no chance to keep pace with the Buckeyes.

That’s Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz. Friday’s game will complete the first half of the season as the Hawkeyes will have a bye week after that.

In games against powere four opponents Iowa’s run game has been nonexistent. The Hawkeyes could only must 39 yards of rushing against the Buckeyes.

Washington is 3-2 after a 25-21 loss at USC.
