Iowa basketball coach Ben McCollum says it will be a much different team that begins summer workouts next week. Star point guard Bennett Stirtz is one of four players gone from last season’s team that finished 24-13 and made a run to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.
One of the players looking to have an impact next season is redshirt freshman Trey Thompson. The six-eight forward reclassified to join the program in 2025 but redshirted and saw no action as a true freshman.
