Iowa junior Reece Vander Zee says the wide receiver corps will take major steps next season. Vander Zee has started 16 games his first two seasons. Despite missing the first four games due to injury this past season, Vander Zee finished fourth on the team in receptions and also had a pair of touchdowns.
Vander Zee says he has been focused on areas he wants to improve during summer drills.
Vander Zee displayed the ability to make tough catches in traffic and says that gives him a lot of confidence.
The Hawkeyes open next season at home on September fifth against Northern Illinois.
