Harlan Cyclones Face the Trojans in Week 8

The Harlan Community Cyclones return home to Merrill Field this Friday for a high-stakes Week 8 matchup against the visiting Atlantic Trojans. Harlan carries significant momentum into the contest following an impressive 55-7 road victory over Perry last week that pushed their record to 3-4. The Cyclones offense continues to operate at a high level behind junior quarterback Kreed Boggess, who has orchestrated the passing attack with 658 yards and 9 touchdown passes on 59 completions. The heart of the Cyclones relentless offensive output remains with senior running back Brody Bendorf, who has anchored the ground game with 332 rushing yards and 20 total team rushing touchdowns. Out wide, senior playmaker Landon Nihsen serves as the primary target in the passing game, hauling in 243 receiving yards and 9 total team receiving touchdowns. Defensively, the Cyclones have established themselves as an aggressive, game changing unit, compiling 283.0 total tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 3 forced fumbles, and 3 interceptions. Head Coach Todd Bladt likes that they have home field advantage.

With the Trojans being able to break tackles, the Cyclones defense will have to bring their A game.

Bendorf will have to protect the ball with Atlantic being able to force turnovers.

The Cyclones host the Trojans on Friday at Merril Field. Coverage of the game will be on KJAN Radio network and KJAN TV with pregame at 6:30 PM and kickoff at 7:00 PM.
