IOWA CITY, Iowa – First-year University of Iowa women’s soccer goalkeeper Braelynn Galt has been named to Top Drawer Soccer’s Women’s Midseason Top 100 Freshmen list, it was announced Wednesday by the website. Galt is ranked No. 10.
The Channahon, Illinois, native has started all 16 games this season, logging 1,425 minutes and recording seven shutouts, a total that is tied for fourth in the Big Ten. Galt has recorded 49 saves, including three seven-save contests.
Galt has posted a 0.95 goals against average and a .766 save percentage through the first 16 matches of her collegiate career.
The Hawkeyes (7-4-5 overall, 2-3-4 Big Ten) will host No.10 UCLA on Thursday at 7 p.m. (CT) at the Iowa Soccer Complex. Admission is free.
