Experience an advantage for No. 6 Iowa State men

Iowa State coach T.J. Otzelberger hopes experience is an advantage as the Cyclones get ready for the NCAA Tournament. Sixth ranked ISU is the two seed in the Midwest Region and opens Friday afternoon in St. Louis against Tennessee State.

It will be Iowa State’s fifth straight appearance in the tournament.

Otzelberger says leadership on the team has allowed the Cyclones to continue to make strides.

Junior forward Milan Momcilovic says there is a sense of urgency among the veterans.

Momcilovic says the Cyclones are motivated by last year’s second round loss to Ole Miss.

Momcilovic says experience allows the Cyclones to make quick adjustments and points to how they responded after back-to-back losses to Texas Tech and Arizona.
