Drake women’s basketball coach Allison Pohlman says she supports the move of the Missouri Valley women’s tournament to St. Louis. The Valley announced this week that beginning next year the men’s and women’s basketball tournaments will be held the same week at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis.
Pohlman likes the idea of a permanent home for the women’s tournament.
The move will condense the regular season by a week, and it will mean additional conference games in December.
There will also be a new format. The top two seeds will receive double byes into the semifinal round.
