Drake offensive lineman Tyler Tortorich says the goal remains the same, even with another new coach. Matt Walker enters his first season as Bulldog coach. He is the third different coach for a program that will be in search of a fourth straight Pioneer Football League championship.
There are big changes on offense. The Bulldogs have gone from a ball control, run based offense to a rapid tempo system Walker used to win a Division III national title at Wisconsin-River Falls.
Conditioning is a must to run a rapid tempo offense and Tortorich says it starts in practice.
Tortorich says the run game will still be important even though the Bulldogs will run it in a different way.
The Bulldogs open at home on August 27th against South Dakota Mines.
