LIMA, Peru – University of Iowa swimmer Rachel Dildine picked up five medals for Team USA at the 2026 FISU America Games over the weekend.
“Rachel had outstanding performances at the FISU America Games, earning several medals throughout the competition,” UI head coach Nathan Mundt said. “We are very proud of Rachel and ultimately how she represented Team USA and the Hawkeyes in her first international appearance. It was an incredible experience for her and we can’t wait for Rachel to share more about representing the USA with our team.”
Dildine was a part of the gold-medal winning 4×100 medley relay that finished in 4:12.29. She added three silver medals to the team tally, posting second-place finishes in the mixed 4×100 and girls 4×100 free relays.
As an individual, Dildine placed second in the 100-meter freestyle race, clocking a 57.00. Additionally, she was a bronze medalist in the 100-meter butterfly with a 1:02.37.
Dildine was the program’s first representative at an international event since 2022.
