The Monarchs defeated the Storm Lake Tornadoes in week 1. They look to take on the Atlantic Trojans in week 2 Conference play. Taking the snaps for the Monarchs is junior Karson Bruhn who had 104 passing yards last game and went nine for 15 in passing completions. Two of those completions were for touchdowns. The defense did its job last week having three interceptions. The senior Wilson Riphin had 2 of the three interceptions on the night and a 45-yard pick 6. Charlie Beeck led the team in tackles with 5 solo tackles and getting an assist to make him have 5.5 tackles. Head Coach Willie Baughman says it took a while for the Monarchs to adjust
Coach Baughman would like to establish a run game with multiple rushers.
Baughman believes that the biggest thing to winning Friday is to stop big plays and Atlantic’s Ethan McNeal+
