It was all Crusaders on Friday night as they defeated CAM by a score of 48-6 in Anita. Bryce Lewis was the start of the show hauling in three receiving touchdowns. CAM had a tough time getting anything going offensively with top receiver Carson McKee and starting running back Kason Calhoun out with injuries. The Crusaders defensive line proved to be too strong and held the Cougars to 0 offensive points. The sole touchdown came on a 75 yard kick return touchdown by Cohen McCann in the third quarter, but that’s all the Cougars would get in Week 2. Lewis caught his first receiving touchdown in the first quarter and the Crusaders never looked back. Led by Sophomore QB Tucker Lewis, CR-B moved to 2-1 on the season while CAM dropped to 1-1. One of the backups for CAM did emerge and had a nice game. Coach Nick Kauffman gave his thoughts on Jacob Gerlock who led the Cougars in rushing.
