CAM Cougars Baseball One of the Top Seeds in District Tournament

The CAM Cougars Baseball team currently hold a 13-5 record, good for one of the top seeds and a home game during the district tournament. They have an offense that scores over 10 runs a game and depends on speed and baserunning to find success. They have over 160 stolen bases as a team and get on base in nearly 50% of their plate appearances. They host Riverside in their first matchup, and Head Coach Mick Long gave his assessment of the Cougars with a week left in the regular season.

This year’s CAM team scores a lot of runs by putting pressure on the opposing defense and taking the extra base. They have scored 188 total runs and have stolen 170 stolen bases in 2026:

Junior Carson McKee leads the Cougars in hits on the offensive side and strikeouts on the mound. Coach Long knows he can depend on McKee any given day:

Coach Long also highlighted two other players that have contributed to the success of the team this season:

CAM will host the Riverside Bulldogs in the first round of the District 15 Tournament at 7pm on July 3rd at CAM Jr/Sr High School.
