As the track and field season enters the back half, the CAM Cougars Boys team is heating up. They have finished top 4 in four of their last five meets, which includes a first-place finish at the Lenox Coed meet and 2nd place at the CAM Classic Boys Meet. The Cougars are certainly a young group, but they have stepped up and learned well from the upperclassmen.
Head Coach Drew Ticknor thinks that despite many of his guys being freshman or sophomores, they have made great progress and will be important down the home stretch of the season:
One of the Cougars top athletes this season happens to be a freshman as well. Jace Hardisty has the best discus throw of any freshman in the state at 153-08.00:
With bigger meets looming including districts and state, Coach Ticknor wants to narrow down the events that he thinks has a chance at the state meet in late May:
The CAM Boys will look to continue their recent success on April 30th when they head to the Griswold COED Relays at the Tiger Track Complex at 4:00pm
