The Wheelers went 11-1 last year taking a semi-final loss to Bishop-Garrigan at the UNI-Dome. A lot of those same players who were there last year will be returning this year. One big threat returning is junior Aiden Kjergaard. Kjergaard ran over 1500 yards last season and threw over 800. Other rushing threats are juniors Paxton Beane and Mason Kasperbauer. Kasperbauer had over 800 rushing yards and Beane had over 500 rushing yards. On the defensive side of things Audubon lost two seniors last season that carried the defense, but they now look to senior Hayden Larsen who had 56 tackles last season and two juniors Mason Kasperbauer and Jorgen Nowatzke. Nowatzke had just over 45 tackles last season. Audubon comes looking at week 1 to set the tone of their season.
