Atlantic Wrestler Braxton Hass Commits to Iowa Western

Braxton Hass of Atlantic has committed to Iowa Western where he will be continuing his wrestling career. A 7th place finisher at state in 2026, Hass had a phenomenal senior season where he racked up 54 wins in the 132-pound weight division. He was a three-time state qualifier with an overall high school record of 171-45. Braxton took a look at other colleges, but ultimately felt that Iowa Western is where he needed to be.

Braxton attributes a lot of his success to his teammates at Atlantic and the standard they set for each other, especially during his senior season:

His mom, Alisha Hass, is confident in who he not just as a wrestler but a person too. She is excited for Braxton’s future at IWCC:

Iowa Western Head Coach Matt Malcolm was also in attendance at the signing. His connection to Atlantic High School helped in the recruitment of Hass:

Braxton Hass will begin his collegiate wrestling career at Iowa Western later this year, where he will also be starting a degree in construction business management.
