Atlantic Goes on the Road to Merrill Field

The Atlantic Trojans hit the road this Friday for a high-stakes Week 8 matchup, traveling to face the Harlan Community Cyclones at Merrill Field. The Trojans carry significant momentum into the contest following an impressive 36-13 home victory over Greene County last week that pushed their record to 5-2. The Trojans’ offense continues to operate at a high level behind sophomore quarterback James Brauer, who has orchestrated the passing attack with 517 yards and 9 touchdown passes on 37 completions. The heart of Atlantic’s relentless offensive output remains with senior running back Ethan McNeal, who has anchored the ground game with an explosive 975 rushing yards and 15 rushing touchdowns. Out wide, junior playmaker Zander Killion serves as a primary target in the passing game, hauling in 145 receiving yards and 5 receiving touchdowns. Defensively, the Trojans have established themselves as an aggressive, game-changing unit, compiling 344.5 total tackles, 43.0 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, 8 forced fumbles, and 6 interceptions. Head Coach Joe Brummer believes Atlantic is playing its best football heading into tonight’s game.
