The Atlantic Trojans Girls Track and Field team are sending four girls to the Drake Relays in 2026. Lila Wiederstein, who competed last year in the long jump, is back in the event in 2026. She will also be a part of the 4x100m team that qualified with the 15th fastest time in the state this season. Lila Wiederstein is in the long jump again, qualifying with the 13th longest jump in Iowa. Head Coach Matt Mullenix recognizes her willingness to win.
Lila Wiederstein came into this season recovering from hip surgery. Her resilience and drive to get back to where she was last season has been evident all year:
The 4x100m team is certainly not shy to the big moments. They are a record setting group that is used to stages like the Drake Relays and State Championships:

Lila Wiederstein competed in the long jump on Thursday, finishing 12th with a jump of 17′ 2″. The 4x100m relay team will run on Saturday morning of April 25th. The Atlantic Girls next team meet will take place on April 27th at the Glenwood Coed Relays.
