It was a busy state qualifying track and field meet for the AHSTW Vikings Girls, who will be sending eight total events to state which includes six relay teams. The other two events are individual qualifiers’ Bella Lamp in the 400m and Addison Carroll in the Discus Throw. The relay teams weren’t built in one day, but Head Coach Traye Pelzer had a high standard from the start and knew his team had what it took to get to this point.
Leaders have emerged from a very strong junior class that has 5 athletes across all eight events that AHSTW is sending to state:

Bella Lamp enters the state meet with the 6th fastest 400m seeding time in Class 1A. Coach Pelzer knew from the start of her career that Bella would do great things:
The Iowa High School State Track and Field meet begins on Thursday, May 21st and runs through Saturday, May 23rd.
