ACGC Football Charging Their Way Through the District

The ACGC Chargers are currently leading in Class A District 7 with 5-1 record. The Chargers started off with an amazing start to the season with a win over Panarama with a score of 57 – 7. They then go on to win the next three games giving them a 4-0 start to the season. While having this 4-0 season the defense does their job every week by not allowing over two scores a game. Heading into the 5th week of the season and The Chargers had their toughest matchup yet against 4th ranked at the time Madrid. The highly anticipated matchup had the game set close to be within a score. Unfortunately, the Chargers took their first loss of the season to Madrid 17-0. The chargers bounced back in week 6 leaving right where they left off against Danville in another non district matchup and got the win 47 – 13. The Chargers have a great leader behind the ball with sophomore quarterback Andrew Baumert. Baumert is a well-balanced dual threat quarterback who leads the team in rushing with 488 yards. The Chargers still have other threats as well with their run game. Both Seniors Morgun Nolte and Ryder Cline have gotten a lot of reps in and have combined over 480 yards of rushing. Running is the name of the game for ACGC as their top receiver is Cline with 65 yards receiving. Head Coach William Shull on consistency with the team.

Coach Shull plans to keep it simple to allow the kids to do their thing on field.

Coach Shull finally completed the puzzle on the line.

Coach Shull continues to look to use the run game this week against AHSTW.

ACGC continues on with District 7 play against AHSTW with Riverside in week 8.
