10 Hawkeyes Named to 2026 NFF Hampshire Honor Society

IOWA CITY, Iowa – A program record 10 senior members of the University of Iowa football team have been named to the 2026 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society.

Iowa is one of only seven FBS schools to have at least one player recognized in all 20 years of the Honor Society (2007-26). The Hawkeyes have had student-athletes honored 56 times over the last two decades. 

Student-athletes recognized include offensive tackle Gennings Dunker (3.59 GPA, human physiology); defensive tackles Aaron Graves (3.63 GPA, exercise science), Jonah Pace (3.25 GPA, communications) and Jeremiah Pittman (3.56 GPA, finance); quarterback Mark Gronowski (3.73 GPA, mechanical engineering), defensive end Ethan Hurkett (3.44 GPA, management), safety Xavier Nwankpa (3.22 GPA, sport & recreation management); linebackers Jaxon Rexroth (3.54 GPA, human physiology) and Kelby Telander (3.60 GPA, exercise science), and long snapper Bryant Worrell (4.00 GPA, exercise science). 

In its 20th year, the Hampshire Honor Society recognizes football players who are a starter or a significant contributor in 2025, have been enrolled in school at least three years and achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale) or better throughout their college career.

The Hawkeyes will wrap up spring football with an open practice presented by University of Iowa Health Care on April 25 at 10:45 a.m. in Kinnick Stadium.
