WALTER SONKSEN, 93, of Omaha, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026, at Veteran’s Medical Center. Visitation, with the family of WALTER SONKSEN greeting friends, will be at the Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Avoca, from 10-a.m. until Noon, on Feb. 21st.
Burial with Military Rites is in the Ida Grove Cemetery in Ida Grove (IA).

His son – Randy (Donna) Sonksen, of Harlan.
His daughter – Joan (Steve) Erickson, of Sioux Falls, SD.
His siblings – Anna, Marvin, Fern and Elmer.
2 grandsons; and 4 great-grandchildren.
