VERYL TICKNOR, 81, of rural Casey, died Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the Greenfield Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Funeral services for VERYL TICKNOR will be held 10:30-a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, at Lamb Funeral Home in Fontanelle.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Dec. 12th, from 2-until 7-p.m., with the family greeting friends from 5-until 7-p.m.
Burial is in the Canby Cemetery north of Fontanelle, with full military graveside rites by the Anita American Legion Post No. 210 and Army Funeral Honors.
A luncheon will follow the burial back at the Lamb Funeral Home in Fontanelle.
Memorials may be directed to the Veryl Ticknor Memorial Fund to be established by the family at a later date.

His wife – Janice, of rural Casey.
His daughter – Joanne (Matt) Tewes, of Sutherland, IA.
His son – Jerry (Pam) Ticknor, of Winterset.
His sisters – Helen Shoesmith, of Stuart, and Marilynn Wedemeyer, of Owasso, OK.
His brothers – Bob (Judy) Ticknor, and Richard (Kathy) Ticknor, all of Adel.
2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Diana Jens of Seattle, Washington; other relatives and friends.
