RUSSELL LEE “Russ” BRANDES, 72, of Council Bluffs, died January 6, 2025, at his home on the family farm. Funeral services for RUSS BRANDES will be held 10:30-a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, at the Silver Creek United Methodist Church. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is assisting the family with arrangements.
Visitation with the family will be on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 5-7 PM, at the Oakland Community Building in Oakland.
Interment will be in Silver Valley Cemetery.
A memorial fund is being established in Russ’s name.

His sister – Joyce (Dennis) Hickerson, of Boise, ID
His brothers- and sisters-in law, other relatives and many friends.
