JANET “JAN” KAY SORENSEN, 75, of Exira, died Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Unity Point Iowa Methodist Hospital, in Des Moines. Funeral services for JAN SORENSEN will be held 11-a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Exira Lutheran Church. Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Exira has the arrangements.
Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the start of the funeral service.
Following the funeral, interment will take place at the Exira Cemetery.
Following the committal, a luncheon will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the Exira Lutheran Church.
JAN SORENSEN is survived by:
Her husband – Bub Sorensen.
Her daughters – Brandy (Randy) Fiebelkorn, Nichole (Bryan) Towlerton, and Angela (Matt) Immel.
Her son – Dustin (Adriana) Sorensen.
Her brother – John (Annette) Nissen.
Her sister – Char (Greg) Binter.
8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; her in-laws and other relatives.
