GERALD LEE SUMMERS, 86, of Elk Horn (IA), died Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Salem Lutheran Home. A private Celebration of Life for GERALD SUMMERS is planned, according to his wishes. Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan us assisting the family.
Memorial gifts may be directed to the family, at PO Box 2, Elk Horn, Iowa, 50531. The contributions will be split among several charities in Jerry’s memory.

His wife – Jane Summers, of Elk Horn.
His daughters – Cynthia (Henry) Teller, of Dolores, CO; and Catherine (Les) Sidman, of Harlan.
His brother – James Summers.
His sisters – Helen “Cookie” Doonan, and Mary Ann Kaven.
His daughter-in-law: Penney Summers, of Council Bluffs.
2 grandchildren; other in-laws, and relatives.
