ALAN THORNTON, 72, of Avoca, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs. The family will greet friends at the Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Avoca, on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025 from 5-until 7-p.m., with a Time for Sharing from 7-until 8-p.m.

His sons – Brad Thornton, and Brian (Mindy) Thornton, all of Avoca.
His daughter – Brenda (Eric) Hansen, of Marne.
His sister – Jane Borkowski, of Churdan.
